We at the Hut! City Council contracted Gibson Security Limited (GSL)
for our recent series of concerts, Music in Parks. We staged three concerts over consecutive weekends in February and GSL provided the security for all three events.

From the outset Andrew Gibson was a pleasure to work with. Andrew met with us to discuss the three events, and he then took the time to visit each site and work out exactly what would be required. Athorough document was then produced that outlined his suggestions for each based on the various sites and expected crowd numbers.

Andrew met with myself and the Police to discuss what would happen over the course of each concert, and all parties were comfortable with the plans in place. For each of the concerts Andrew had very well-presented, wellmannered and professional individuals working for him. The organisation was very slick, but Andrew also made sure that any changes made to the schedule were run past me first.

After the series of events a full debrief report was also produced without being asked; this document will be very helpful for future planning.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Gibson Security Limited as a trustworthy and professional organisation to work with. Andrew has been very reliable from when initial contact was made right through until post-event proceedings.

Dear Andrew
Lord Of The Rings - Return of the King

Firstly may I apologize for the delay in writing. Unfortunately December is one of our busiest times!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all your PPO team for the excellent work carried out in overseeing Lord of the Rings.

Last October, when I began to plan for the above, I initially thought of using an Australian PPO team but after returning to New Zealand, I decided that if I were able to find the right company, I would rather use a New Zealand firm as Lord of the Rings is a New Zealand film. Fortunately I found Gibson Security Ltd!

After meeting with you, I was very impressed by your professionalism and honesty, which are two qualities that are hard to find in this business! Andrew, I know that in New Zealand you do not obtain the same type of PPO work as in America or Europe, but I feel you excelled yourselves in working on the above event. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending your company worldwide and especially to anyone who was planning an event in New Zealand.

I would now like to thank each of the men individually. I would like to congratulate "2 ic" Cedric, for his professionalism and aptitude, Noel for his great team work, John Campbell who worked with Orlando Bloom and had an especially hard job seeing off young female fans! I would like to also thank Richard who looked after Elisia in a calm and professional manner; Ashley who had the enviable position of looking after Liv Tyler, not many men would refuse! Willie who looked after Peter Jackson did an excellent job and was always on hand without any prompting, which I know Peter appreciated. Mike, who was an overall all-rounder and looked after Mr Jackson's wife. He managed to foresee any possible problem that we may have and take action at the right time.

Last but not least, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you Andrew for your professionalism and great attention to detail. I appreciate you had an extremely difficult job with Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. Due to your expertise, my job was far easier and a great weight was taken off my shoulders.

I hope that we have the opportunity to work together again on a future event but in the meantime wish you a Happy Christmas and Prosperity for 2004.
