Gibson Security Personal Protection Film Industry:

Gibson Security ltd has been the chosen security company to perform the exclusive protection of the major film premiers and the talent arriving and staying in New Zealand. Since the year 2000 any major protection jobs have been sent our way with Gibson’s being chosen at Personal Team each time.
Our role was to perform the following but not limited to.

• Liaise with city council VIP parking and necessary information
• Liaise with NZ Police to advise of movements and potential threats if any
• Liaise with Wellington & Auckland Airport of arrivals and departures. This often includes barriers being set up for Media and Fans. In addition ensuring an easy passage for the clients and advanced ticketing where required.
• Ensure Hotels and staff are briefed for potential threats and or deploying security staff to risk areas.
• Back ground checks on all staff working close or around the Talent.
• Accreditation for events.
• Advance Team to move ahead of all talent before arriving at scheduled events
• Secure Chanel RT units.
• To brief all Minders of potential threat. In addition have a profile of each talent including pictures to ensure we are well aware of the likes and dislikes of the individuals.
• VIP Drivers with minimum qualifications.
• Confidentiality agreements between all staff and potential sub contractors thus ensuring an incident free event.
• 24/7 Minders well dressed for the occasion. At the same time not over dressed for casual events
• All Minders must have a minimum of Four Years industry experience. In addition they must attend a course set out by the Director which includes close combat martial arts training, protocols, on job training, driving, legal obligations, arms training, disarming, health & safety, clear and precise decision making, risk assessment training.
